Skyrim has just a black screen on launch - not even main menu

Ive modded my skyrim and ran boss and TES5Edit, but when it launches, there is just a black screen. no bethesda, no main menu, nothing.

any ideas brosefs?

Ive figured out it is not the mods causing it, it just seems to not work on full screen for some reason.
