Skyrim heavy lag with decent computer

I'm having 15-20 fps when looking to certain places in skyrim, like a fort or a city, and 40 fps when looking to the sides, sometimes 30fps. I'm running enb, but when i'm not, i get the same fps. I have a GTX 970 Xtreme Gaming edition, an Intel Core i5 2500 3.3Ghz, 8 GB RAM, 1 tb hd and Windows 10 64 bits.

Well mine's also lags but after i enabled triple buffering it become much smooth. Worth a try

It sounds like it's the ENB. You're not actually disabling the ENB either when you say you're getting the same framerate without it. There is no way you will get the same FPS with or without it.

Make sure you're plugging your monitor into the GPU, and not the motherboard. Also make sure you have V-Sync off, it may help.

Actually, i benchmarked the game with MSI Afterburner after i did a clean uninstall and reinstalled the game, and my pc is only using 30% of both GPU and CPU, alongside only 5gb of RAM, while i have 8gb. https://youtu.be/ddaRIAjo0vA <-- here's the benchmark with MSI Afterburner

Download and use DDU software and boot info safemode and uninstall gpu drivers. IF there is a driver issue there is ABSOLUTELY a possibility to be getting the same fps using ENB or not using ENB. Ameno_S not sure why you told him that but that's false. If he is having a gpu issue his fps could remain the same no matter what addons he is using in the game. FelipeMarchon try installing the DDU software i mentioned and use the RECOMMENDED setting to boot into safemode and then once in safemode do the "highly recommended" option of removing drivers then rebooting. Once you have done that go to nvidia's website and download the latest driver and install it. This should fix you problem. Report back after doing this.

Unfortunately, the problem persist. Same FPS from the video i posted above.

So your performance is the same with or without the ENB mods? Hmmmm. Only other thing i could think would be fresh install of the game but thats unlikely to fix it. Hmmmm. so you get the same fps even with the game on low settings as you do with them on high settings?

No, with ENB the game have less fps. I believe that when i lower the settings the fps will be better aswell. Strange enought, Skyrim Remastered runs better (60 fps, some minor stutters when arriving at helgen, for exemple) at maximum settings than vanilla skyrim.

Could be the cpu holding you back. What kind of cpu usage are you seeing? Turn on monitoring of all 4 cores on the cpu.
