Question Skyrim lagging after uninstalling smim

Ok so I can run Skyrim at about 50-55 fps at medium settings and wanted to make my game look better. I heard that smim is a good choice but it just made my game lag even on then lite version. So I uninstalled it and now my game is lagging like crazy way worse than when I had smim. I also noticed that after uninstalling some objects are missing from the game like barrels and my follower has an invisible torch. If anyone can help thanks.

Been a while since I modded Skyrim.

How do you manage your mods? It might require sorting of load order after you uninstall a mod.

I use mod organizer but after uninstalling I launched skse from the main directory
