Hey guys,
today i got Skyrim and played it for a while. It worked good - i tried playing on ultra specs, but i had about 30 FPS so i switched to medium (or high, I dont remember), i had about 50 FPS or so, which is fine with me.
After I closed the game, a windows window popped up. Now, guys don't judge please, I was really hungry (went out for dinner) and I just clicked okay and I don't remember what it was about. I think it said about something like - Windows will optimize this program for you... All I remember about it is, it had no option to say no, you could only click Ok.
After that, I woke my pc from sleep and now, my Skyrim has about 15-20 FPS (when I am lucky) on low settings. I know I caused it to myself, but I am not seeking criticism here, but ideas
What I have tried:
-looking at Windows event viewer to see what was that system popup, did not find it, tried to search for Skyrim there and only result was an information, that Skyrim has been installed.
-restoring my windows to its yesterday state. All the new apps, settings and things should be as they were before i even istalled it for the 1st time. Did not help. (As you can see, I would REALLY like to play this game)
-googled, many people have problems with FPS, but mostly because of slower computers.
I have a newer laptop (all drivers installed, double checked).
Intel Core i7 5500U Broadwell
AMD Radeon R9 M375 4GB (i checked that I switched to this graphics, not the default Intel Graphics)
RAM 8GB
which I think should at least run Skyrim at a playable FPS. Right?
Any suggestions please? I would appreciate any help very much!
Thank you!
