Skyrim low grass lod distance

So I've been really into skyrim modding lately, but something is really annoying me. So I installed a 4k grass mod, and it looks amazing, apart from the lod distance. The grass just loads in about 20 feet in front of me, and it looks dumb. I've tried it with multiple mods, but they all do the same thing. I know its supposed to be for performance reasons, but my fps is at a locked 60 and i'm willing to sacrifice a few frames to make it look better. I tried changing the grass start fade distance in skyrimprefs.ini, but that did nothing. Help?

Very obvious pop in has always been a problem in skyrim. uGridstoload is the ini setting you are looking for change it from 5 to 7. However I would really recommend you research this before you try it and BACKUP YOUR SAVES BEFORE YOU CHANGE THIS SETTING if you decide to change it back it will not load if you already saved a game with a higher ugridstoload. This WILL cause a large performance hit, so I hope your pc s better than the one is my description because when I change it it cripples my framerate, it can also cause instability. I also recommend you watch Gophers video on it below before you try it.

Didn't work. The grass didn't load any further no matter what setting it was on. I turned it all the way up to 11, the framerate dropped, the the grass lod was still the same.

grass mods pretty much always look that way on skyrim it only renders a circle around you, Try making the grass less thick it will look better.
Im not sure if there is a mod for this but look up mods that smooth your render distance for grass so the edges fade away

My grass pops in pretty bad too but so does the vanilla grass I have just accepted it, is Verdant worse with pop in of grass in front of you than vanilla?

That mod won't work because it's only for vanilla and flora overhaul. And it doesn't seem to pop in any further than vanilla, it's just way more noticeable.
