Skyrim or Skyrim SE

I have the Dell inspiron and wondering if i can run Skyrim SE with A lot of mods on ultra/high Setting or should i just get Skyrim with mods and run it on ultra?

wow good question. honestly i'm not sure if having the mods will be a great idea but skyrim se looks much better then skyrim but this can be resolved using texture mods so i think just getting skyrim is the better choice, but only if you know how to go through game files and install mods

also i don't think performance will be much of an issue, provided you keep cool on the mods

If i get SE will i be able to run at ultra with like a few mods?

unfortunately i cannot be the judge of that because i only have the normal skyrim but according to the recommended specs for "se" you should have enough wiggle room for a few mods or more. make sure to get this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266/?
its just the unoffical patch and corrects the little bugs and glitches that drive you insane but it also needs the nexus
