Hey all! I haven't built my own computer since the days of the Pentium III so I don't know where to begin anymore, mind lending a hand? All this talk of Sandy Bridges and 6970's is too much for me anymore.

BUDGET: 1000-ish, give or take a hundred.

PURPOSE: To play Skyrim at a fairly high frame-rate

OVERCLOCKING: Nope

HDD: 1TB would be nice, but not at all essentiall

SSD: Nope

CROSSFIRE/SLI: Not essential, but if it can be done within the budget or slightly outside the budget, preferred.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: Don't need an optical drive, kb/mouse or monitor factored in.

Thanks for your help!

OK well check out the build guide below my post here in my siggy. The $850 should fit you perfectly fine. It'll allow you to SLI in the future which is sweet since atm even if you were running skyrim, no need for it with a single 560 Ti OC'd to the 570's performance or even a 6950 2GB
