Skyrim won't load my save

I while ago i started playing modded skyrim but i had to refresh my pc because of a problem.
I finally got to re-installing all the mods but now when i try to load my save it says that it relies on content that is no longer present, and when I load in the game crashes. Starting a new game works but I am fairly attached to my character, so if you know a way to rescue it that would be wonderful
keep in mind I am not too modding savvy.

I had the same problem just without the mods. I think I deleted the .ini file in the save game. Just search the enterwebs for the problem, if that doesn't work. 😀

Ooh, have you tried playing Skyrim without the mods turned on??

I'd rather restart with mods on because i have put many hours into vanilla skyrim already and I want something new.
