I just changed my gpu from 2 9800 gtx to a hd 7850.

I tried re-installing the game

I tried to lower sound quality

I tried verifying the integrity

Could play fine before the switch.

Any idea?

Thanks

hey hey i have exactly the same problem, even the same crash message, but i never changed my gpu.

what do you mean with application profile? the application profile of your graphic drivers or is this something from steam?

i also could play it any time, then i stopped playing it for a month I think and have had these pixel problems, so i deleted all my mods, because I thought it comes from their and did a clean reinstall (deleted skyrim.ini, cleared mod and instalation folder, regestry clean). Nothing worked, then I heard it is because of 12.3 catalyst and installed 12.1.
Since here skyrim doesn't start anymore, like in goombaxiv's case, exact the same crash message. I also tried it with the lower the sound to cd or dvd quality nothing worked.

so what exactly do you mean with application profile?

I am having exactly the same problem,

and the same question as mrTambourineMan, what is an application profile, and how to delete it?

Really it would be a great help, there are a lot of other applications having the same problem, but until now this is the first treat i find with solved, so if you could explain the solution your ace!
