HP EliteDesk 705 G4 Mini PC - AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 2400GE 3.2GHz, 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD, Vega Graphics, 2x USB 3.1 Type-C, Windows 10 Pro 64-bit - 4HX42UT#ABA

About to buy the above PC for home business use. Thinking about getting a second one if I can reasonable turn it into a mid-level gaming machine. What graphics cards in the $150 - $250 range can I shove into it that will handle newer games? I would also need to add a HDD to hold the vast library of Steam games my son has acquired.

Given the form factor, will the suggested GPU fit in the case?

As rgd pointed out. Won't work. There are some low profile GPU's out there and some are very small, but you would actually be better off with the Vega iGPU. I saw in the specs, that it can take an RX560, but, I just don't see how. It could have been for the 705 G4 Mircotower version which has a mini tower, which possibly could accommodate a discrete card.

I haven't done anything with mini cases before, I always use MT cases so I have room. Guess I'll just get the one for home office use and look into building a something in a MT case for my son. Thank you for your speedy responses.

there is no space in mini case. either do the sff, or mt case

click on the link and read the spec

you can get a 1660 super for as low as 225 and for retail right now. I would definitely buy another 8gb of ram
