It's using a portion of TLC in a SLC mode, it's not true SLC, think of it more as a cache, only when the drive is more full there is no place to put this cache.

Personally I'd go ultra. The plus may be dramless, hence why it needs the cache.

But both are quite old, but much much better than a HDD
