Hello,

I was switching the USB power jumpers around so that I could charge my phone or ipod from the front panel USB when the computer is turned off.

With it set to 5vsb the sleep function in windows no longer works. I hit the button on the computer or do it in windows causes the screen to turn off and that's it. When I move the mouse around or hit keys on the keyboard the screen turns back on after a few seconds.

I went and moved the jumper off 5vsb back to it's default position, I've forgotten the name, but sleep mode still does not work. I've looked at my BIOS settings there is nothing that says "S1" options, there are some S3 and S4 USB wake, ps/2 keyboard/mouse wake but those are disabled.

In the powercfg in command prompt it says
The following sleep states are available on this system: Standby ( S3 ) Hibernat
e Hybrid Sleep
The following sleep states are not available on this system:
Standby (S1)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
Standby (S2)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.

I can promise you sleep mode worked perfectly fine before I moved the jumpers around.

If you need anymore info let me know.

I'm using Windows Vista Business 64bit, I have a MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 motherboard.

Thanks

Well i did touch them. I only have 1 wall adapter and 3 devices that use a USB charger. I don't want to leave my computer on all night so I enabled the USB power while in sleep mode, or while its off. Some how that messed up the sleep mode.

And I'm terribly sorry for not getting to this sooner, but the problem has fixed itself. I disabled the USB power while off thing and that didnt fix the problem. About a few weeks later the problem fixed it self.
