Sleep mode stops my torrent from downloading!!

Hi. I am downloading some games on my PC ( 15-30 GB ) and leaving my PC downloading the games on night. When I put PC on sleep mode the downloading stops.. Tell me how to solve this please.

When you put PC to sleep mode, it does not work. It is just like you would turn it down, except it keeps all programs open - but those program don't do anything in sleep mode. If you want the pc to keep downloading during night, you have to leave it running.

Well yeah. Sleep mode means your PC is asleep meaning it has no power to hard drives, no active power to ethernet port. It provides just enough power to keep data in memory and cpu cache and to keep your usb keyboard and mouse alive.

If you want to continue doing downloads you cant let it go to sleep, in fact you need to dissable sleep.
You can allow to turn off discs and display when idle but that is it.

Your torrent software can turn off the pc when its finished downloads etc in utorrent.

If you are running Windows 10 you do not have to do that.
