I just recently upgraded my CPU, but before doing so, I had to flash my BIOS to a newer version. That night after doing so, I went to put my PC into sleep mode and noticed the option was missing. I went into the control panel's power management options to see if I could find it there, and it was also missing. The only option available was Hibernate. I'm assuming this has something to do with my BIOS update? I went into the BIOS setting menu, and a lot of it is foreign to me. I didn't see anything about any sleep options, just different power management settings. Can anyone help? I use the sleep option a lot to help conserve power and my components.

I upgraded from an Intel i3-2100 to an i7-3770k. My motherboard is an ASUS P8P67 Pro and the BIOS version is 3602.

Hello rdross80

Although it may sound strange and irrelevant, sometime it's the incompatible or obsolete graphics driver that disables the Sleep option.

Can you please try updating the graphics driver? If it is already updated, please uninstall it, and then reinstall it from the scratch.

Feel free to report back with the results for further assistance.

Cheers!!
