I am running dual 1070s in sli mode and I am having an issue which is subtly driving me crazy in which my displays are flickering randomly.

I have a powerful power supply, 1050 watts. The flickering occurs across all three monitors simultaneously so I don't believe it is monitor or cable related (if that is incorrect reasoning please tell me). It does not seem to be impacted by what task I am performing but I could be wrong because it is so random. I don't remember having this issue with my sli 780s. My drivers are all up to date.

Any ideas on tests I can run or ways I can try to narrow down the problem?

Note: the flickering impacts all monitors simultaneous and looks like a full screen of random artifacts, just for a few frames at a time. sometimes it happens in intervals of every 30 or so seconds and other times it is minutes or hours.

Note 2: My PC was built in 2013 and I overbuilt it to last. The only upgrades have been to the GPUs. I know windows 7 is coming to the end of its life and I have been heavily considering finally making the leap to windows 10, think that will make a difference?

You didn't answer my question yet....
What happens if you DISABLE SLI, and use only a SINGLE GPU and one Monitor to boot your system? Does the screen still flicker ?

Nope, I don't think so. I'm still using Windows 7 OS, and there are absolutely NO issues whatsoever. Some of the latest Windows 10 OS patches/updates have been very buggy, and they can even wreck the whole OS install, or the system. Not all PCs are going to get affected though.

I havent tested a single card and monitor. Not really in a position to attempt it at the moment. I can try it when I am available again and update though

I need to do an upgrade to windows 10 sometime soon either way though...i want to get the new valve virtual reality system and it claims it only works on windows 10.
