Hi guys
I currently have a gtx 760 and am happy with the FPS i get on games and can play most games high/ultra settings. But want to upgrade and i have two options for my self., just need some help:

1) Get another 760 and SLI the two
2)get a single 970 and i guess in the future i can SLI that

Now i know single cards 970 is more future proof, better for day one games and power consumption etc but excluding all of this, does any1 know what will produce the most amount of frames. As in want will give me better FPS, ignore anything else.

It looks like 760 sli is pretty good compared to a 970 but what you should see is if the games you play actually support sli.

I would recommend to sell the 760 to someone that wants a good budget gaming rig.. I always prefer a single more powerful gpu for the best gaming experience.

I remember seeing a dual 760 setup on one of the quarterly system builders marathons a while back. It didnt fare well against a single great card.

Many games don't really take advantage of sli (or crossfire), and alot of those don't react well to dual cards; decreasing performance instead over just a single card. Quick fix for those games is to disable a card or pull it entirely which leaves you running one mid range card rather than the alternative.

I recommend the 970.

But the newer cards could have an even bigger increase in raw power over the 970. :pt1cable: (But we don't know that)
