Hi, im going to upgrade my GPU and i would like to know if i would get more performance by having 2 GTX 770's or 1 GTX 1070. To do SLI i would need to get new motherboard which would be 70-90 pounds and maybe a new PSU if the 650w is not enough. With the new Directx 12 i have heard that SLI is a lot more powerful to. What should I do?

Thanks

1. 2x GTX770 will be beaten by a single GTX1070, especially if you need more than 2GB VRAM.
2. SLI and XFIre are not supported by all games, some do not support.
3. SLI and XFIre have potential issues e.g. micro stutters, etc.
4. 2x GTX770s on SLI consume a lot more power than a single GTX1070. Perhaps you need a new PSU for 2x GTX770s.
5. If your mobo does not support it, you need a new mobo too.
6. DX12 implementation on newer cards is better than on older cards.
