Hi all. A quick question for you experts!
I bought an XFX 8800GTS a while back when it was quite new, but have recently been wondering about upgrading it.
I did a quick check and saw that my exact model is on amazon for £65, which would allow me to use both in SLI mode.
Would you recommend this over buying a newer individual card, e.g. the Radeon 4870 for £130. I'm not really that keen on spending too much.. but who knows!
I currently have an E6600 @ 2.7Ghz with a 600W PSU. I play games at 1600 * 1050, usually FPSers - currently UT3 and Fallout 3.
Any advice on where my cash may be best spent (if at all?) will be appreciated.
[p.s. 3rd attempt to write this... the forum seems to have a nasty habit of losing posts! {copies post just in case...} ... yes a 4th attempt indeed. Must choose sub-category - thats a pretty bad bug! ]
