So i bought a another 970 today. It is the evga scc to pair up with my msi 970 OC model. I have everything where it should be. both cards are powered and geforce experience recognizes both cards. I have the sli connecter snug on the first yellow teeth of each card. when i go to configure my sli 970s i get this error. "To use maximum 3d performance, connect the sli ready graphics cards with an sli connect" ive tried two different connectors now and nothing works. Ive switched the hdmi cord from both cards and still nothing. Im running driver 355.98. Do i need to update my mobo's bios or are these cards not sli-able? please help.

My specs:
i5 3570k
asus z77 extreme 4 motherboard
8gb ram
750 watt psu
evga 970 scc
msi 970 OC

Try reinstalling your drivers. If this doesn't work the bridge might be faulty, I had to end up buying a bridge from evga for my sli setup since the one that came with my mobo didn't work out of the box. I've always found the flexible bridges to be somewhat unreliable.

You actually may have an incompatibility problem. Traditionally the only big SLI requirement was that the GPUs just be the same chip (i.e. 970 as opposed to a 960 or a 980), however, the EVGA cards specifically have a problem with others that are not the exact same model. See here for more info. The fact that some of EVGA's 970s won't even work with EACH OTHER means that you are probably SOL and will have to replace one of your cards for something that will work (another EVGA 970 of same model, or another brand 970).

That may be true with older gen cards, but I have a Normal EVGA ACX Gtx 760 Sli'd with an EVGA FTW edition 760. I've had no problems with them.
