Hello everyone,

I just installed my second 970 and I'm having some minor issues with the display.

My first one is in the "second" second slot and the new one went into the "first" one.

They're both in and connected and running games fantastically. However, I didn't notice this until just last night. HDMI is plugged into the card in the "second" slot btw. the display won't show until window has booted as its plugged in now. If I plug it into the "first" slot card then the display will only show the boot process then say no signal.

Any idea what this could be?

Hello... With multi monitors and Gpu's... You need to Sync your BIO's screen output with Windows Monitor/display #1...
Right click Desktop-Screen resolution for options.
OR... go to device Manager-Nvidia control Panel-Setup multiple displays this will change Monitor priority too.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I only have one monitor.

Hello... hmmm... 1) Plug the HDMI into the first slot Gpu? seems to make sense here...
2) What if you were to Disable the Windows Display GPU in your control panel-device manger, and re-boot... will it boot the BIO's screen and then default the Windows display to the other first slot enabled GPU?

I'm not sure which GPU is which in device manager. However I did disconnect the windows display gpu at one point and boot the other one on its own. Everything started all teh way through but as soon as I connect the other one it goes back to the same issue again.

I will first try disabling one and go from there. Then if that doesnt work I'll physically switch them around.

Unfortunately I'll have to try that later tonight. If I reply to you here later you'll see it right? (You're the only person to help so I really appreciate this very much)

I tried the disabling and rebooting. Then it boots on the right card. But as soon as I enable it again and reboot it does the same thing. I also tried this after I switched the GPUs around in the mb. when the second one gets connected it always defaults to it for the windows display but not boot.

Edit - If the SLI Bridge is disconnected it boots normally through the first card.
