Hello everyone,

Last year i bought a new gaming rig. Lets see what i got:

CPU = 7700K I7
GPU = 2x Geforce 1080 in SLI (founders edition)
MB = ASUS Formula IX (9)
PSU = Corsair HX1200i
Mem = 2x 8GB G.Skill DDR4
Cooling = custom build water cooling, both GPU's, CPU and MB.
Monitor = Acer XB281HK (4K gaming) and a Samsung S24D390 (extra non gaming screen)

No overclocking. (but still a possibility)

Now when i try to play heavy load games like Arma 3, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, my PC shuts down after several minutes of playing. And restarts immediately. This happens when SLI is enabled.

If SLI is disabled, then no problem.

Temps are low, differs per game, but around 50 to 60 degrees. Fans turning at very low speed, so there's room for improvement.

Benchmarking with Furmark, Futuremark, CineBench, MSI Kombustor, RealBench, Heaven. No problems whatsoever. I Benchmarked for days, and never a shut down. The shut downs only happen during gaming.

I reinstalled everything several times. Like Windows, drivers, bios, etc.

Does anyone have a solution for my problem?

Thx Pim

Welcome to the wonderfull life with SLI :)

Running SLI is known to cause problems and so far from what I know... sadly... live with it or go single card.

Did run SLI setups before but I will never ever go back to it again, cause of the problems with it.
When it works its fantastic and you get LOADS of performance. But when it does not work... You experience what you are now or in some cases you will in fact get less performance compared to running a single card.
