Hello, I was wondering if there was any point in buying another GTX 680 because my motherboard only supports SLI in x8/x8 or a single card at x16
PCIe 3.0
Does this mean that the same amount of bandwidth is going through thus making the 2ndcard less powerful that normal?

Thanks

Using SLI in x8/x8 does not decrease performance, even though the bandwith is slightly slower. You will generally not notice it unless you run a benchmark test, and your performance will increase due to two GPU's running in SLI, thus splitting up the task for rendering faster.
