SLI Help!!! Friend Left computer here and i wana try sli!

Hey guys, my friend went to work today and he had brought his computer over because his internet is [CENSORED]. So i wanted to try Sli'ing our cards. I have an EVGA GTX 1070 SC, and he has a MSI GTX 1070. My motherboard came with a sli thingadoo but i dont know how this works. How do i sli? Is it easy?
