SLI help please

I currently owned a Gigabyte B85M-D3H and a gtx 1070 EVGA SC. However, I am working heavily on graphic design and movie graphics ( for youtube) So I wonder can I buy another GTX 1070 EVGA SC and SLI it with my current one on this motherboard. Cause I heard that some motherboard is supporting SLI and some CF. And now I am so confused and don't know what to do. Thanks

That board is not SLI capable. It needs to be SLI Certified and for that to happen you need the 16x slots to run at 8x-8x when both are connected. That board will only do a max of 4x on the second slot.

no. It doesn't provide the necessary foundation for SLI. It's a hardware issue, not a software issue.

Does the software you use require SLI? Some rendering software prefers the GPU's not to be in SLI in which case it would work on your board.

I don't know, that's actually a good question. The software I am using are: LİGHTWAVE,Swift 3D and google sketchup.

You need to look up if a multi GPU configuration would benefit you at all before spending the money.

so better save up for a new graphic card than SLI ?

quite possible you should look up what each program can take advantage of
