This SLI motherboard for Socket 754 goes under the name of EPoX 8NPA3J
and provides users with the opportunity to get the increase in speed
while saving some money by buying a cheaper low-end A64 processor, and
the vast selection of Sempron CPUs for Socket 754 ensures that SLI is
made available even further down the ranks as well.

Let me get this straight you want an SLI setup on a single channel cpu so
you an save a few bucks. ROFL hahaha

Most of the SLI systems are cpu limited anyway, its even going to be more
limited under this setup, your still going to need the dual gpu's, which
most likely will need the same bios. Nvidia has stated that this problem
has been solved, but people are still seeing this problem with new gpu's.
If you do flash you video card to a newer bios it will void your warranty.

The reason I say this, is most people who are going to buy socket 754
probably will not buy two graphics cards at the same time. Otherwise it
would be better to buy socket 939. If you consider the benefits of a
socket 939 cpu, over a socket 754 then its a no contest, that is unless
your going Sempron, but who would want a non 64 bit cpu in an SLI system,
when everything is shifting toward 64 bit's. Right now you can for the
same price get a socket 939 cpu, for the almost the same cost as the same
socket 754 cpu. In most cases the difference between motherboard, and cpu
is less then 75 bucks. I really do not see the value in it, unless you
already have a socket 754 system.

?!?!? Uhh.. what in the hell is the point of this? Going for
super-high-end and extremely expensive graphics setup only to save
less than $100 by going for a low-end processor? Hell even with a
low-end Socket 939 processor most applications are more CPU limited
than video card limited these days (unless you like to run at
~2000x1600 resolution), and that's with just a single high-end video
card.

I've heard Semprons would become 64-bitters soon.

Your supposed to be able to buy them now, it sure would be better
investment. Also Intel will have their Celeron line anytime now as well.
I wonder how an Intel SLI setup would run with a low level Celeron? I can
see it now but the sticker says SLI on it, then we will have Xfire soon as
well!

Well,when your 754 2800+ runs at 2.3ghz you don't want to give it up. It's
on option for some people and there's no reason to dis anyone for thinking
along those lines.

That's assuming the EPoX 8NPA3J can handle 255MHz, which you can't yet
guarantee.
