I've had a gtx 980 for some time now, and I just got a second one from my friend. I installed it into my computer and turned it on. in nvidia control panel it reconizes that i have 2 cards in but it doesn't show the sli settings. pls help

Yes, and in nvidia control panel there is a bubble connecting them that says PhysX, i dont know what that means, and i'm prettty sure the sli cable is connected all the way, i just checked

You mean in geforce experience? ok im updating it now

it is a new sli bridge that i just got today, i need a long flimsy one because of my case. here is the link https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LS6S9E4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
do you think i need a new one? if so do you have any reccomendations for a 120mm or longer sli cable?

Tried all of that, computer still reconizes 2 gpus, but nvidia control panel doesn't have any sli settings

I came across this thread in a search:

Describes the exact same problem with SLI on your model mobo. Thread is marked solved so I'm confident you'll find the solution there. Let us know how it goes.

in the thread it says that the software may have a virus in it, I'm not taking any risks
