Sli or Single card

Ok i am going to buy a new computer in the near future but im having trouble deciding what setup to go with, so far i know what most of the computer will consist of but im unsure about the graphics card or cards i will need.

The games i will be playing are : Arma 2, Arma 3, Battlefield 3, Crysis 2, Fifa 12 and Formula 1 2011.

I will be using a 24" LCD display 1920 x 1080.
Asus P8Z68-V Motherboard
Intel Core i5 2500K
8 GB Corsair 1600mhz Vengeance (2x 4GB)
WD Caviar Black 1TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s
850W Corsair TX PSU

Do i go with a GTX560 Ti Sli or go with a single GTX580

If anyone can give me any suggestions it would help alot

The 560 sli will be just a littlle bit faster but ; more heat, more noise, more power consumption and risks like microstutter.

If i buy a 580 i will end up buying another 580 within the next year but if i buy 2x 560 Ti then i wont upgrade for another 2 years.

Because ? Anyway with two 580 you'll probably won't buy nothing for the next 4 years then. Maybe go for something in between ; buy a 570 now and over a year sli with another 570 if you really wanne sli.

Btw if you wanne play at ultra high res maybe think about a 6950 2GB and crossfire that.

My first post should have said, what is the best graphics card setup i should go for spending £400 and something that would last me 3 years.

Crossfire 6950 2G for now imo, but you said buying in the near future, wait for the next 7000/600 series then maybe.

It will be nearer late November early December that i buy the computer, i dont really want to buy the new 600 or 7000 cards when they first come out. I will wait and see what the feedback is like on them.
