Hi guys
I'm having a problem with sli'ing two gtx 470s. One of the cards is an Asus gtx470 the other is an MSI twin Frozr gtx470. As I understand I should be able to SLI these even though they are from different vendors right? I have narrowed the problem down to the MSI gtx470 as it is not detected in the BIOS when both cards are present on the MoBo. Both cards run fine on their own but as soon as they are both introduced at the same time only the ASUS card shows up even in multiple configurations of slots. The MSI card however will only work when running at 16x and is only not detected when at 8x (even when running as single card it isnt detected in the 2nd 8x slot)
Components:
i5 4440 3.1Ghz
MSI Z87-G45 MoBo
8GB DDR3 RAM
850W corsair PSU
128GB OCZ SSD
Would this be a BIOS problem from the MSI gpu?
Thanks in advance
