Hi all,

My card (which has served me well!) is the EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 660 Ti (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130810). However, I keep seeing sales on the non-SuperClocked version (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130809). Can they be used together with SLI? Do I have to do any overclocking on the non-SuperClocked version to get them to play nicely together? Is it worth it to just suck it up and pony up the extra money to buy a second SuperClocked card?

I've never done SLI and I've never overclocked anything, so any advice would be great. I would label myself a "highly proficient computer user" as long as the case is closed and a "wide-eyed noob" once the case opens, but I live with a professional IT guy who can make sure things are slotted correctly.

In Sli the overlocked card's clock speed would lower itself to match the speed of the standard one. If you can spare the cash then of course the OC'd one would be better, but by how much i'm not certain.

I see. Is there the option of overclocking the standard one to match the SuperClocked card instead? What are the dangers there besides heat?

I have 2 660s in SLI, then run at different speeds, one was Golden Sample, the other is stock.

I have no issues, and one card does not lower its clock to match the other..
