SLI vs Crossfire

I have AMD FX 9590 with an ASUS Strix GTX 970 and i want to do SLI with another Asus strix gtx 970. But also i want to know a question. SLI is better than Crossfire or Crossfire is better than SLI? Thx a lot!

The difference comes down to the cards used, not necessarily the branding.

Crossfire is amd

Both do the same purpose, just different names
