SLI - Will these 2 cards work together?

I'm going to be getting an SLI setup, just got 2 monitors to match my current 23" (running 2 off of my current card, 1 off of my integrated graphics). I'm trying to make sure that when I do set this up, I'm doing it right. My question is, will these two cards work in SLI together, or do I have to get the EXACT same card as the current one?

If this will not work, would someone be able to point me somewhere that I can get an exact matching card? Any help is appreciated.

Oh I see. I'm not too well educated on SLI, I know a bit more about Crossfire. So they need the same number of cores and amount of memory, then? Does clock speed matter, or will it just downclock the higher of the two to match?

I see what I did wrong, now. I was apparently confused between the Superclocked and SE. -facepalm-

The problem is the GTX460 is discontinued. SLI also has micro-stutter issues.

If you want to run three monitors your best bet is to buy an HD7970 3GB card, however I don't know your current systems specs.

I'm assuming this is for gaming. I'm not really sure what to say as a triple-monitor setup is quite demanding.

*If you want BETTER ADVICE, give your basic specs, an upgrade BUDGET and the PURPOSE of your upgrade (i.e. want to play BF3 with triple monitor).

It will work as long as they are the same architecture, you will just need to match them as close as possible. It wont be easy, you will have to OC the SE version and underclock the normal one.

BUT! You would be better of just getting a currentt gen card. You would get better performance.

550W Antec PSU
Intel i5-2500K Sandy Bridge
GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3
The GTX that was mentioned in OP
8GB 1333MHz RAM
OCZ Vertex III 120GB SSD

I didn't really wanna go over $200 or so (not including a new PSU for SLI), which is why I was heading for SLI with this instead of a new card, but if it will make that much of a difference then I'm willing to shell out up to $300.

After looking at some of them, I'm torn between 2 660 TI's. The MSI looks pretty nice for the cooling and noise. But I'm also looking at the 3GB EVGA model. I'm not sure if that would be overkill, and I'd be better off saving the extra $30, since I don't plan on getting into super-intensive games or what have you.
