I have been slowly scooping up components for my build and I'll I have left to get is graphics card and a fan.

I have gone a bit to the higher side so far and I am trying to decide on graphics cards.

I have gotten a high end Seasonic 760W PSU and gone for the ASUS Maximus Hero MB. I plan to do some mild over clock with that.

Can that PSU even support two GTX 660s in SLI? I am concerned that going that route would put constant stress on it.

So really whats better two 660s or just one 770? One card seems simpler, but with two I could buy the one now and wait for a better deal for the second.

And with respects to deals, does anyone think the there will be much discounts on graphics cards for black friday? Seems like the focus on discounting is always elsewhere.

What does everyone think?

Solution
Since you are starting without a 660, I would say get the 770. The 770 plays all the games very well at 1080p (assuming what you are using).
Two card solution are powerful but can come with problems. Everyone has different experiences with a two card setup.
With the 770, you can later pair it up and have quite a strong gaming setup for future demands.
I would also what to buy a 770 until Black Friday specials. I am pretty sure you will see the prices drop a little since it competes directly with the 280x.

You have a good looking build. Nice mobo. :)

Whats your budget but i would go 770s in sli and most DEF wait for black friday/cyber monday to get the best deal

Your psu will do just fine with 2 660. Also seasonic is one of the best when it comes to psu. My 660s doing just fine with my xigmatek 700w. Which card to get i will definitely recommend you to get a second 660 if you already have one in your system. If you can afford for 770 now maybe you should go for it and get a second later

One card is always easier to manage, and also for heat issues it is better.
I would say go for one 770, or more if you can.

770 is a very good price/performance ratio anyway.

And if you want later you can always add another 770 to have a SLI.

I dont have issues with heat nor sli honestly and now days i would recommend going that route

Yeah I have a case with nice big 140 mm fans so I think the heat wouldn't be a problem. Could a 760W PSU handle two 770s? I figured based on the power draw from there, that would be pushing it to the upper end of its operation.

Either way if I buy a ~300$ graphics card it would be hard to buy another later. 660s seem to be going on discount every so often, so those seem obtainable for 160 soon and later might be closer to 100 for the second.

Alright makes sense, I'm not a huge fan of hassel trying to set anything up. I have been pretty patient so far just now that I have most everything I want to get it done, but realistically I wont have time to set it up till thanksgiving anyways, so worth waiting for better deals.

Thanks
