Slight artifacts on a CRT monitor

I've decided to dig out my old LG Flatron monitor to use it as a secondary display and it still works great. Except when I look closely I can see some slight artifacts in certain spots. Dark colors on white background have some shading to the right of them. I took a picture of a simple black line on white background so you can see:

This problem disappears when I lower the frequency to 60Hz but as you might know the CRT monitors get very flickery when set below 85Hz. Any help would be appreciated.
 
Solution
There is nothing that can be done about it. What you are seeing is ringing in the high voltage amplifiers that drive the RGB electron beam gates when they operate at higher frequencies.

Lowering the resolution may enable you to use higher refresh rates without exceeding the bandwidth at which the amplifiers start noticeably ringing.
