Slight delay in Skyrim

I recently built a new PC and downloaded skyrim off of steam. I can run it just fine on high, but when I play there's a small delay with the mouse or when I press a key to move or such. It's not that noticeable but it is annoying. Is there a way to fix this? My build is:
Asus M5A97 LE R2 MB
AMD 8-Core FX-8350 4.0ghz CPU
8 GB Crucial RAM
Nvidia GeForce GT 610 GPU
Windows 8.1

Try disabling mouse accerelation if there is an option for it and enable raw input.

Skyrim buffers tons of frames when Vsync is on (iPresentInterval=1 in the SkyrimPrefs.ini) which is the default. You can leave Vsync on and change Max Pre-rendered Frames to 1 in the Nvidia Control Panel for Skyrim, or you can set iPresentInterval=0 to turn Vsync off.
