Finally convinced my parents to allow a different router to be installed and this was on the condition that they didnt need to change the wires (they run into the wall and through a tv stand) now they are both same branded routers (sagem 2304n vs 2504n) but the old one has a 12v, 0.7a adapter the new one uses a 12v 0.75a adapter, I ordered this without checking (my fault).

Anyway I figure it will probably be okay as its likely to be over rated slightly and the plug may also be an overestimate if anything.. But thought I would ask the more enlightened before I burn a house down! If anything whats worst case scenario? fuse blown or fire?

Thanks for any info from people in the know!

You will be fine, and it wont catch anything on fire, as it shouldnt overload the power brick considering im sure they are current limited as to not allow more power draw than its capable of safely. 2 possibilities;

1) Worst case scenario?; It wont work.

2) Likely scenario?; It will work fine.
