Hi Community,

I'm searching for a slim HTPC desktop case with a maximum height of 11cm (heigth restriction by my living room shelf).

My major complain about my current case (Silverstone ML-03b) is the restriction to use low-profile expansion cards.
Recently I want my HTPC to completely replace a console and build some sort of steam maschine out of it, so I can use it for gaming as well as streaming duties. At first I thought about adding a GTX750Ti in a low profile version, but after seeing the option to mount a GPU horizontally in a desktop case, that would give me the option to use a full size card with much better speed.

So my question is if there are any desktop cases out there, that support the horizontal mount of a GPU and fit a mATX board with a full size PSU and still have a maximum height of only 11cm.

THX

POOP! I missed the mATX part, in my enthusiasm.

I believe that I have researched this quite thoroughly, since I wanted exactly the same thing, I know of no case ,anywhere in the world, that will take a mATX board, a full-size GPU, in a case 11cm or less in height. You would have to modify a case to make it work.
YES! I am using one. Have a look at the first build here. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2625445/build-log-consolidated-middle-school-builds.html It's the system in my signature which seems to have all the parts you want in a Silverstone Milo ML07 HTPC case. There are photos so you can see how it handles full-size cards. I have a GTX 970 waiting to go in it.

The Silverstone RVZ02B is another, even smaller case, that will work as well. It comes in two versions. I prefer the plainer version. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163288&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

We build a lot of small form factor computers at school, so I have a lot of experience in that area.

Hi DonkeyOatie,

thx for the suggestion, but in the description from Silverstone they describe these two towers only to be able to hold mITX boards. So my mATX would be to big for them. Do you have any experience there if a mATX board could fit in the ML07?
