Slim optical drive need help with connection set up.

I just bought a slim optical drive the LG Electronics Slim DVD Super Multi Optical Drives (GTC0N) but I have lost its power cable I was wondering if getting the StarTech 6-Inch Slimline SATA to SATA Female/Male Adapter with Power (SLSATAADAP6) and connecting it to WonderfulDirect 22 Pin SATA ATA Data and Power Combo Cable (SATA22Pin TO data+Power) to the 4 pin power connector onto the PSU would this work fine or is there a simpler way to connect the LG optical drive?

Yes that should work. It is a long cable you will have.

If you have the room a SLSATAADAP may be a better option. Plugs right into the drive. and takes normal connectors after.

It is bulky compared to the direct cable versions.

Please be 100% sure it is slim sata and not IDE as some of those may still be floating around.
