Slipstream error

Hello,
Trying to slipstream SP2 in XPPro for install CD creation. I've got everything but the slipstream down.

Any Ideas?

Slipstreaming is simply combining the SP with your Original Win Install CD and using something like imgburn to create an ISO bootable CD.

I don't think you can.

SP1a or greater have to be installed before SP3 can be used on an install. I would guess this applies to slipstreaming as well

Yes, I have seen that SP1 requirement mentioned before; however, I have done it twice on separate computers, over a year ago, so maybe that SP1 requirement was not in effect yet.

Service pack 3 DOES NOT contain the SP1 components. Its always been that way. Though I think there is an update cd that did not need SP1. It was 200mb larger than the IT pro package.

I would guess that you were dealing with SP1 installs and didn't know it or had that cd.

How did you update those systems?
