Slot A Slockets

I know there a slockets for slot 1 mobos but does anyone manufacture a slocket for slot A. I have an asus K7V mobo and I want to get a thunderbird socket A processor. It seems an awful waste of money to go and buy an asus A7V which offers, little if any more functions. I would much rather wait for good DDR boards with agp 8x. Anyone do these slockets?
