[SOLVED] Slots 2 and 4 don't work so i stared using 1 and 3

So my dimm slots 2 and 4 stopped working lately so I swapped the ram to slots 1 and 3 and the pc started to work again should that really make a difference performance wise or is it bad for your pc or should I just by a whole new motherboard that I really don't want to do

Full specs of the system?

Use CPU-Z to check, if your ram is operating in dual channel mode and appropriate frequency.

As long as the frequency and performance are the same then it should be fine

Yeah all the frequency the same and performance is the same but when I start the pc it says new memory found but not optimised I don't think that should be of a big deal?

Just make sure in the bios that xmp is enabled. If it asks for a profile it should be profile 1. After that is should be optimized
