Slots in rear of pc tower

Can someone help, this is getting me crabby trying to find what it’s called. In the rear of my pc I have those black tabs that look like you can bend and remove them for your graphics card to breath out. There those slots where your graphics card bolts into. I don’t know what they are called and are they supposed to be removable. ? Thanks

duct tape on both sides can seal the slots temporarily if needs be.

And yes they are removable if you need to add an expansion card.
