So I've got Samsung NP300E5V-S02IN Laptop/
and hardware specs are:-

CPU- i3 3120m 2.5 Ghz (3rd gen i3 CPU)
RAM- 8 GB 1600mhz RAM
GPU- AMD Radeon 8750m
Os- Windows 10 Pro.

So even having quite Okay hardware , I cannot have an good Web browsing experience. I do have 20-25 Tabs Open and after using it for 2 days or more (I normally don't shut down my PC instead put it to Sleep or Hibernate) the Firefox (same for another browser also) starts behaving like really slow and laggy. So painful experience.
It's not that it is eating resources or something.
With 25-30 Tabs open it would normally take 1.5GB max RAM and don't eat more than 1.5GB of RAM.

Even my system has like 4 GB RAM left free , then why don't the firefox use rest of RAM to run smoothly ?

I still don't understand What's the use of 8GB of RAM (specially upgraded from 4GB to 8 GB for better web browsing experience and overall snappier PC performance) when the browser don't use it anyway ?

Yes, I do hardcore-browsing and instead of shutdown the PC every time when my work is done i normally Sleep it so I don't lose every opened pending stuff which i can't lose as after shutdown i have to manually open each and every program again.

So What's the problem ? Can any one explain ?
I need Buttery performance in web browsing even though i put PC in sleep mode as i can't close stuff.

Firefox has really good collection of addons which Chrome doesn't have and also after closing chrome and opening it again , it reloads every tab again instead of loading tab when you click on it.Though I've found 1 extension in Chrome which enables option to load tab after new chrome start only when you click it but it's not on store and chrome disables it (security issues) anyway after sometime of use.

What prevents me from closing tabs is that there is much tabs which i still need aftersome time and i can't bookmark so many links. I'm do kind of hardcore web browsing.
and Cause it's Laptop and I can't let it run whole time , will damage the battery.
I'll try Chromium and Waterfox . Does official addons or extensions are supported by these 64 bit ones ?

Does keeping it running really help performance? I know there's been debates since forever about this, just curious what you thought.... And also thanks for the tip about Chromium....for some reason I never thought about it being 64bit, and I didn't even know that Waterfox existed, lol. Have you used both? Do either actually run better for you? I also have 8gb, and find that my computer does the same thing as OP.

OP: I think we need more than 8gb of RAM honestly. Or you can upgrade to SSD, that's probably the best bet, lol, but if not, maybe you need even more RAM. I'm sure some would argue against that, and there are ways to improve performance, I'm sure...but I am also a 20-30, even 40 tab person (at times), dual screens, about 5-6 add-ons/extensions...(I disable and enable many more as necessary), but I want to be able to have these tabs open without worrying it's gonna slow down eventually - I want to be able to have Word, Excel, Evernote and 15 Firefox browsers open (maybe with music playing in the background) with no problem. For me, I know I need more RAM.

You said you upgraded from 4gb to 8gb ....Do you have two 4gb ram modules in two slots (I'm assuming the answer is yes, but want to make sure....because if you just bought an 8gb ram module, it's obviously still faster, but not as effective as having dual channel ram modules)

I used to feel like this....but after using Chrome for a few months, I noticed it was utilizing much more memory than Firefox (I started testing the two back and forth). I know multi-threading is supposed to help memory, and it definitely helps us understand what extensions are the most resource hogging, but how does it really help speed? (I'm sure it does, but I'm asking how lol, cause I haven't experienced it)
