I have a pc I'm upgrading for my dad that's booting really slow.
It has:
Asrock b450m-hdv r.4 motherboard
Ryzen 5 2600 processor
16 gb ram g.skill
kingston ssd
It takes a long time for it to boot past the splash screen. Takes long to even get to BIOS screen when key is pressed. I've updated the BIOS just in case and looked around everywhere but just can't get it to boot up faster. Otherwise it works great after getting over the startup slump.
Am I expecting too much? I have an older computer with:
MSI 970A-G43 motherboard
AMD FX-6300 processor
24 gb ram
same sdd
that boots much faster.
I don't imagine the ram would make THAT big a difference... or does it?
Any advice would be welcome. 😢
