I mean If there was a bad enough back feed to cause a short in something drastic it could cause a few different problems I guess this could be a result... However I feel more like poor timing on things happening in a series.Basically can water spill on the keyboard cause extreme lag in bios settings and 50 seconds+ boot time? what could be the reason, can someone help pls I can't figure it out
It's an msi gf63 ( I can't even undervolt now because of this..)
Wow my brain hickuped I didn't realize this was a laptop for a moment actually yes you may have shorted the mobo somewhat the mobo sits right under the keyboard in laptops saddlyBasically can water spill on the keyboard cause extreme lag in bios settings and 50 seconds+ boot time? what could be the reason, can someone help pls I can't figure it out

It will most likely need replaced to have a fully functional system again, you might be able to get away with tearing the system fully down cleaning with rubing alcohol and drying back out before reassembling the system but this is time consuming and isn't a garenteehaha no worries.
Well damn I managed to reset bios and ec settings thinking it would boot and it did but now I can't re unable undervolt. (Rip)
Also is there no way to fix this now without replacing it ?
By the way the boot time decreased to like 30 seconds (from 60) tho it was like 8 before. Is it because Its drying or something?

If there is a lithium battery on the mobo I would start by disconnecting all power remove the lithium battery from the mobo for an hour or so. Let everything sit in a dry warm place for a few, some people in the past say letting your oven preheat to it's lowest temp and turning it off leaving it cracked for 20ish minutes let it cool down and put everything on a cookie sheet minus the battery and dry them out for 10ish minutes depending on how warm the oven still was when putting everything in... But this itself can cause damage if done wrong. It's quite expensive replace a laptop mobo mostly because 99% of the time you have to buy the CPU with it since their sodared to the board most the time. So if there's no repair to the laptop, you may end up being better off buying a new one over repairing the old oneI took down the battery to let it dry and now in the morning its not even turning on.
Is the motherboard dead?
I heard its really expensive to replace it :/
