[SOLVED] Slow boot time ?

recently I build a new pc having specs-
i5-12500
AORUS B660M pro ax
WD black sn770 (gen 4x4)
Corsair Vengeance Lpx Series 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4 3200MHz
MSI 1660 super

every time I'm getting boot time around 15-16 seconds(fast boot off) and 13 seconds on fast boot.
after turning on the pc, most of the time is taken by the bios(and its splash screen).

whereas my older build which had specs-
i5-3570k
Gigabyte h77m-3dm
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (8GBx2) DDR3 1600MHz
Kingston A400
MSI 1660 super
this pc had a boot time of around 5-6 seconds.

so curious if new processors or mobo takes this much time or not(is this normal)?

Your previous boot time of 5-6 secs was unrealistic.
It takes great pains to get it that fast.

You were not doing an actual cold boot from completely OFF in that amount of time.

Your current 15 secs is far more realistic.

it was..I'm sure of that..even my laptop which is i5-6200u with wd green SSD - has a boot time of 6 seconds shown in the task manager

Yes.
BIOS time and total boot time are very different.

I would attribute this 15 sec BIOS time to different settings in the BIOS.
Possibly it is checking different things.
