Slow FPS GTX970 on FX-9590 Add a 970?

I ran Cinebench on my new rig FPS was slow (100 FPS), just to make sure, i received a free copy of Sniper Elite III, turned all graphics settings to max, FPS during play was 45, I assume it is the AMD slowing it, watched the CPU monitor during Cinebench on GPU test, 4 cores parked, but the other 4 didnt max out at all, confused. Would adding another GTX970 drastically increase my FPS?

The High end FX CPU's just aren't a good match for the newer cards.

Wow, amd is now getting slow enough that their top tier CPUs can't even hold their own with high end video cards.

I would get a i7 4790K and a Z97 motherboard before doing twin gtx 970s.

Some people have had success disabling cores and getting a little extra.

I use to build just AMD , last three have been Intel and very very happy here.

I have an 8320 with two 780 that i got a free copy of sniper elit 3 on and i have no issue maxing out that or any other game intel is better but amd chips are not the handycap that alot of people are makeing them out to be in my experiance

What FPS are you getting at max settings then?

In what game sniper elite 3 was 60+ I dont remember an exact figure but could check it out later today if the game is still installed and bf4 on ultra is 90-130 on 64 player maps

maybe I jumped the gun, the Cinebench was slow but with full setting on Sniper Elite 3 with the super sampling off(was on X4) 140 FPS. Cinebench only used CPU cores at 30% max overall CPU during GPU test, AMD single thread being slow, Im sure this affected the GPU tested drastically?
