Question Slow hard drives

I am attaching the screenshot of Crystal Disk. After a slow boot up it takes 10 minutes to start using computer and still it suck. What is the problem?

Ok, one that's about normal for an old 320GB spinning hard drive.
Two, that hard drive is dying, I wouldn't use it. The bad sectors and errors show that it's dying.

How you get to know about bad sectors? Can I use any program to get rid of these errors?

Relocated sectors count - hex 15A = 346
That's how you determine damaged sectors.

And it's working at rather high temperatures.
Normal is ~ 40C (not 51C). You should improve cooling of your pc.

I don't have to look at the whole thing, that BIG YELLOW CAUTION says it all. That puppy needs to be retired ASAP.

The drive is acting slow, it has bad sectors, it's running hot, it is quite a few years old. All that equals you should replace it.

if there are any programs that can repair bad sectors they would just be used as a last resort to try to get data off a failing drive. if you have any vital data on that drive now is the time to get it off cause odds are that drive is going to fail pretty soon

Not that old. 8324 hours = ~346 days of continuous operation.
But other than that yes - probably should be replaced.

Yes, there should be a manufacturer utility that will re-initialize the drive and reallocate weak sectors to spares.
This would be a destructive process.
Not nice.

I might suggest that it is time to upgrade to a ssd.

You will be amazed at the performance increase, not only in booting, but in everything you do.

It's time to replace that drive. Failing sectors mean the entire drive going kaput is usually not far behind.

As someone else said, that case/drive area needs better ventilation.
