Slow HDD speed

I have a WDC WD10-EZEX-60M2NA0 installed in my PC, its a 1TB hdd and i am getting read speed averaging 60mb a sec and around 38 write speed, the write speed i dont really mind but its the read speed that i notice when playing games, when i play games you can tell when its loading a new chunk of it etc the game drops in fps for a bit, its quiet annoying, i am sure the hdd is plugged into a SATA 3 but if there is some way to check by typing something into the computer i would gladly check

I'm very sorry to hear about your WD Blue drive causing you such troubles! 🙁
I'd suggest you test the drive using our diagnostics utility first. Make sure you run the extended test and the quick test, so that we see what's the health and S.M.A.R.T. status on the HDD. Here's a link to the utility: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=4sI41L

@NekoMeko, could we see an HD Tune read benchmark graph?

You could also perform a full surface scan with HDDscan. This will identify any "slow" sectors, ie those with read errors.
