You know theres a set of numbers on your modem that needs to be registered with your provider internet service before your modem works right I been there done that with mediacom just because you may have hook up everything correct does not mean it will work right but you know this already otherwise you wouldnt be here asking for help such as is my cable line into my home fried because of a surge did my spiters get fried in the process of the surge ect ect thats what happens 99 percent of the time with your internet after changing modem surges ect no one sets them up correct then they are in the help forums but google is your friend my friend so do some research it may be of some help before you dismiss someone truely trying to help you...
