Slow internet in general

Hi, I was playing league of legends recently, and noticed that my ping was very high. After I finished the game I did a speedtest to make sure my proposed internet deal was going through (100down,25up) I was getting about .5down and 1 up. I have switched the Ethernet cables themselves multiple times. As well as doing the speed test as close as possible to the router, but I still get those same slow speeds. Does anybody know what I need to do, or what situation I am in currently? Thanks

Try to borrow another router to see if yours is causing the problem.
